Silhouette - Pre CDPB for October

Tomorrow (Italy time) is 1st day of October, and is the day I should post photo of silhouette for the CDPB theme day, but since I have done a number of photos related to silhouette, I will try to post them all within these few days, starting today.
Here are the first two.

Handsome Building

Just a handosme building with the blue sky as backdrop, taken in the car while going somewhere.

Found this Flinstone Ferrari parked along via Garibaldi!

Clouds view

It was a nice day to see some nice clouds in some nice forms in a really nice blue sky....

Another Place

Looking at where another car was stopped next to my side, the back of its side mirror reflected a view which eliminated the never ending ongoing traffic, it seemed like looking at a view from another place.

Small Little interesting details

Sometimes, by the roads, in the car, or just stay on the balcony, small things or whatever their size is, catch my eyes in a seemingly ordinary surrounding. This well decorated gas tank cover of a car stopped next to my car at a traffic light is just one of those things.

Movement

Autumn arrived, but didn't stop people from jogging and cycling around the park.

Goodbye, Sunflowers

Summer has begun to step away, soon will be the last view of splendid of sunflowers. Goodbye, sunflowers, till next summer.

First Day Of Autumn

Officially, today is the first day of autumn, a look at the leaves turning color and fallen.

Chapel of the bankers and markets

Located at Via Garibaldi 25, the chapel was inaugurated in 1692 on commission of the Pious Congregation of Bankers and Merchants. An important example of civil commission, this Baroque has been beautifully restored in 1956-57. The chapel is dedicated to the three kings represented in the paintings of Andrea Pozzo, Sebastiano Taricco and Luigi Vannier.

On the way from torino to Carmagnola for the sagre of peperoni, snapped this photo while sitting in the car.

A Window Of Clouds

Opposite of my appartment, I can see the windows of the attic of the building in front. While the windows are always closed, the reflection captured on the glass can be very interesting.

Teatro Regio

The Teatro Regio ('Royal Theatre') is a prominent opera house and opera company in Turin
It is one of the largest and most important in Italy, and one of the most important Italian theaters in the European and international level. Built in 1740, it was destroyed by fire in 1936 and rebuilt in 1973.
The side entrance with the tall glass wall always catches my attention whenever I pass by. 

Prix Italia 64

Prix Italia is the most prestigious and oldest International Competition, a remarkable and lively window for displaying and amplifying Radio, TV and Web programmes of excellence (drama, documentaries, music and artistic representations). Over 90 public and private radio/television broadcasters compete all together representing 5 continents. 
This year Turin has been chosen as the venue of the event. 

This is the promotion of the event in front of the cinema Massimo.

Secret Garden

This is one of the entrance to the Royal garden, the garden has been closed since the year 2000, after the church held its Jubilee display of the holy shroud. Not sure what damages had been done, but since then the garden was closed for riconstruction and till now remains closed.
Look through the gate, tall grasses can be seen growing wildly and the garden looks more like being abandoned then under construction. It is really a pity, since it was really a nice place for an evening walk or a morning jog right in the heart of of the city.

Hungry Pigeons

Why are there so many pigeons in Torino, they are everywhere, in the park, on the road, on my balcony, my windows and even came into my room!
And they are always hungry.....

Monumento al Carabiniere Reale

The monument has an allegory of the oath on a high base, with the statue of a soldier in uniform and high reliefs of the activities performed by the Carabinieri in time of peace or in time of war. The work was performed by Edoardo Rubino (1871-1954) and inaugurated in 1933, in the Royal Gardens.

The Cheese Seller

He is our favourite cheese seller at Porta Palazzo market.

 He is unique.

 He has the least decorated store, works extremely slow, but very detail in providing informations on his goods.

Duck

There is a small spot in Valentino park where they keep some ducks and geese, whenever I went there, I love to look over the fence to watch them swimming in the pond, or just lying around lazily. Occasionally there are even some cranes flew in to enjoy the pond!

Medieval Village

The village is in fact more like a monumental archaeological site and was built in the Valentino park as a pavilion of the International Exhibition which took place in Turin from April to November of 1884.

At the end of the International it became a museum in 1942.
 

 

It is a fairly faithful reproduction of a typical late medieval village in which they reconstructed streets, houses, churches, squares, fountains and decorations of that time surrounded by walls and fortifications, and surmounted by a fortress. It is accessed through a tower-gate.

Castello Valentino after the Rain

This was taken a week ago, at Castello Valentino after a night of raining.

At Piazza Solferino

Just a normal view that I see in piazza Solferino, this particular 'modern' building stands out just because it is taller and extremely 'plain' as compared' to the other buildings around.

Sunny Again

After about a week of colder weather, the sun is out again, luckily is not as hot as weeks ago, taking a walk in the park is still a pleasure.

Wall Painting

Saw this beautiful wall painting on the side of a buiding, not sure why is it painted, but it makes quite a contrast with the plain looking buiding beside it.

Red Scooter

A red scooter and its reflection after raining....

Raining Raining Raining

Raining again today, took a walk under the umbrella along via Garibaldi, as usual was attracted by the reflection of the lights on the wet pavement.
