Man In Red

Once friends from Singapore came to visit, after a walk around the town, they said to me: Italian elder men are very daring in the choice of clothing, they seem never hesitate to put on bright colors like red, yellow even purple, which in Singapore is almost unthinkable to see men in the older age group put on these colors.

This is an example.....

True and it isn't a bad thing, it is not a sin to put on any colors, regardless how old we are....

Snail On The Wall

Generally I don't like snails, they eat my plants, but this little creature here has such a beautiful yellow color, I couldn't help but to snap a photo of it....

Walk Into The Sun

This summer has been rainy, cloudy and sunny in between....
Sometime, part of the town is raining while a short distance away it is sunny.
So, when you want to get some sun, you just have to choose the right time and right spot, get yourself there and walk into the sun.

And as I walk into the sun
And as I stare across this ocean
And as I start a brand new day
Will my life ever be the same again?

( Walk Into the Sun is a song by trio Dirty Vegas )

Couple With Reflection Backdrop

A couple sitting on the stone stood by the side of piazzale Valdo Fusi with the reflection of the opposite building on the glass wall of palazzo Affari at via San Francesco da Paola as backdrop.

Glass Restaurant

Located in the center of Piazzale Valdo Fusi, the glass building was the Canada House during the 2006 winter Olympics held in Torino, now it is a restaurant pub ' Open Baladin ' which offers food (mainly burgers) and many kind of beers. Its unique location and cosy interior design provides a rather relaxing and pleasant place for meeting up with friends.

Breakfast Spot

One of our favourite spot for breakfast on Sunday morning, bar Bazaar at the corner of via degli Stampatori and via Santa Maria. Is a nice place to sit outside sipping a cup of cappuccino and a bite of brioche, enjoy the morning sun or the morning breeze whatever the weather permits.

Reading Under The Sun

This summer, not so much sun, mostly rain or cloudy, in the few days when there was a really sunny day, people took the chance to enjoy it as much as possible......

日歇.......

Very relaxing lying down to read the newspaper, but I would want to be sure the ground is really 'clean' before doing it, the part in front of the Royal Palace is where people like to walk their dogs.....

Murazzi Beach

Torino has its summer beach, with sands, big umbrellas and deckchairs along Murazzi by the side of river Po.

On the beach, beside bathing under the sun, over looking the hill on the other side, there are also bars which serve snacks and drinks, a fitness corner, a small library, a beach volleyball court and various table tennis tables.....of course there are music.....

Is charming to be able to have your feets on sands while tanning by the river, but is a pity not allow to get into the water....for a swim.

Bottling La Cavallerizza Reale

Cavallerizza Reale, the large complex built between the seventeenth and nineteenth centuries as the headquarters of the Military Academy, has decided by the city council to be sold.
But not everyone in town willing to accept this historical site to be sold for private commercial use, occupation of the site has been going on to protest the decision, so its fate is yet to be confirmed.

An event so called ' Sick Party' was held here to support the cause against the sale of Cavallerizza Reale, a party organized by one big plan: to defend the property of their city.

No sure if this is part of the result of the party.....
Judging from the sight of these emptied bottles gathered on the ground, the cause is justified and noble, but it seems some cleaning up should be considered too.

Great Wall Of Murazzi

Part of the wall of Murazzi along the river, decorated by the colorful graffiti and beside the stairs is a bar for the university students, I think.
