Baby Nutrias

Nutria, originally native to subtropical and temperate South America, it has since been introduced to North America, Europe, Asia, and Africa, primarily by fur ranchers. Although it is still valued for its fur in some regions, its destructive feeding and burrowing behaviors make this invasive species a pest throughout most of its range.
Besides breeding quickly, each coypu consumes large amounts of vegetation. An individual consumes about 25% of its body weight daily, and feeds year-round.
They eat the base of the above-ground stems of plants, and often will dig through the organic soil for roots and rhizomes to eat. Their creation of "eat-outs", areas where a majority of the above- and below-ground biomass has been removed, produces patches in the environment, which in turn disrupts the habitat for other animals and humans dependent on marshes.

Last year we saw only one wondering along this stretch of the river Po,  now, we saw at least 8 little nutrias having their meals on this side. Should any concern be raised?

Christmas Tree In Piazza Castello

This year a Christmas is erected in Piazza Castello......

It lights up in Piazza Castello throughout the Christmas period and is built on wooden planks and metal, decorated with thousands of colored lights.

The tree - 18 meters high - was created by "Mariano-sets - light sculptures", a Salento  company that produces maxi-ornaments and decorations for festivals and celebrations throughout Italy and abroad.

Palazzo Scaglia Di Verrua

Palazzo Scaglia di Verrua in via Stampatori has a fascinating facade and also a beautiful courtyard garden.

The Palazzo Scaglia of Verrua is a historic building in Turin, just a few steps from Via Garibaldi. Of great documentary value, it is one of the few examples of sixteenth-century building that not have been affected by the alterations of the Baroque period, maintaining its original Renaissance appearance.

Fiat Historic Centre

The Fiat Museum located on the corner of Corso Dante and Via Chiabrera, in Turin, houses some 70 cars which illustrate the history of Italy's most famous automobile brand.
Discovered this little 'museum' while walking along via Chiabrera looking at some interesting building. One of the guard standing outside the entrance invited us to go in and take a look, and it was pleasant surprise.

This visit is particularly meaningful and interesting, considering that Fiat has basically left Italy and has became a history for Italy.

Passing by the shopping center in La Spina zone, saw this man hanging there, doing the cleaning.

Just wonder how long does it take to clean the whole side of the building......?
