Split

Rain again! Nothing interesting to photograph except people under the rain ( actually in the photo, it was a mix of snow and rain ), such as these 4 persons in piazza Castello, maybe they are not related at all, but to me it seems like the women are parting way with the two men, opposits repels.

Interesting to note that, women carry umbrellas and men don't....

Angelo Fausto Coppi Monument

Angelo Fausto Coppi, was an Italian cyclist, the dominant international cyclist of the years each side of the Second World War. His successes earned him the title Il Campionissimo, or champion of champions. He was an all-round racing cyclist: he excelled in both climbing and time trialing, and was also a great sprinter. He won the Giro d'Italia five times (1940, 1947, 1949, 1952, 1953), the Tour de France twice (1949 and 1952), and the World Championship in 1953. Other notable results include winning the Giro di Lombardia five times, the Milan–San Remo three times, as well as wins at Paris–Roubaix and La Flèche Wallonne and setting the hour record (45.798 km) in 1942.

Located in Ignazio Michelotti park, at the end of the pedestrian bridge  of piazza Chiaves, elected the monument in memory of the great cyclist, Angelo Fausto Coppi.

The Hanging Scarves

Few days ago while in the pharmacy, a young man came in and asked if we are locals, then he asked about why there are scarves hanging on the trees in the park of Porta Palatine....We had no idea....

So, out of curiosity, we went to check it out, and there were various scarves hanging on the trees and on the gate into the park.

After some research, realised that it is sort of a movement to encourage people to hand out their scarves for those who in need of them but can't afford to have one for the cold winter....

The scarves are mainly for children and beside Porta Palatine, scarves are also hanging on the trees in piazza Statuto.

CDP 2018 January Theme

End of 2017, is time to choose our own best shot of the year. 2017 wasn't a great year for me regarding making photos, was too busy to really put more effort into creating better photos, however this shot of the arcade in piazza Carlo Alberto has to be my favourite .

Love the light and the composition and the lovely lady who walked exactly in the center of the arcade. Thanks Miss ....:)
