Fine Snow

There haven’t been any real snow days this winter, there was one very fine snowfall last November.

It was actually a mix of rain and snow, visible on site but difficult to capture properly in photos.

Anyway, I tried to take a few photos while walking through the narrow streets of Mercanti.

December Snow

In Turin snow seldom falls in december,  this year however it snowed in mid december. Not much, just one day, but enough to cover up the streets and the squares.

Just one day of snow, Turin changed its face.

Frozen Day

The temperature is pretty low in these few days, varies from -2 to 2. Over the night, with the freezing temperature and fallen snow, water around the fountain in the Royal garden has frozen, leaving quite an impressive view to look at.

After the first snow 2021

After the first snowing, the snow was either quickly melted or pushed aside to clear up the piazza and the street. 

In piazza castello was left with piles of snow and ponds of water.

The first snow had arrived few days ago, it was snowing for a whole full day.

 Piazza Castello was tinted white by the snow.

White Is The February Theme

The first day of February, Torino is whitened by the overnight snowing. The snow is less then expected, by nevertheless, is still a 'fresh' sight.

Not much snow left on the road of the town, but in the parks and gardens, the green grass patches are covered by white snow.

In the Royal Garden, the usually green areas are now all white.

Tiny Tiny Snow

Sort of the very first snow of 2019 in Turin city, the snowing was very fine and tiny and as usual it never stayed long on the street.

However, it was still nice and almost magical walking on the street under the falling snow, watching the snow through the street lights.

Last night begun to snow again, this morning woke up with -2 degree outside, the winter seems reluctant to leave....

The cold air from the Russia brought in  the snow....

We were just walking around in piazza San Carlo and here came the snow, suddenly the almost deserted piazza started to have people taking photo, enjoying the snow....

The dog too seems to enjoy very much the snow

Quite an unusual winter dress

It was nice, it was quite some years that it actually snows like this, usually there were just partly rain mixed with snow. This time it was big lump of snows falling onto your face.....

Lets see if the weather forecast is correct for the snow at the coming Thursday.

Rain again! Nothing interesting to photograph except people under the rain ( actually in the photo, it was a mix of snow and rain ), such as these 4 persons in piazza Castello, maybe they are not related at all, but to me it seems like the women are parting way with the two men, opposits repels.

Interesting to note that, women carry umbrellas and men don't....

Just Raining

Just one day after Christmas , the rain arrives.....

Winter is white and pale, especially when it snows, and people carry umbrellas to walk under the snow...

Counting Down Under The Snow

This woman stood in front of the huge count down to Christmas calender in piazza Castello under the snow, maybe she really look forward to Christmas....
By the way, the local firemen come to tear of a page every evening until Christmas.

Another Day Of Snow

Just another 'one' day snow, just enough to sprinkle some snow on the ground....

Anyway, in giardino Lamarmora, the scenery is always lovely....

One Day Snow

It is very cold this November, and last Sunday was snowing , just one day in the town center....

 The snow covered patch matched well with the magnificent palazzo Carignano....

As usual, by noon, the ground in piazza Castello was more icy than snowy....

Not so much snow but enough to make a small snow man.....

Just Another Snowy Day In March

Is snowing again, in March, when we are already expecting the arrival of Spring, the very first batch of flowers has blossomed, and the snow came down this morning.

 Yesterday evening, there was 16 °C and this noon it is 2 °C.

 Let's just hope that this is the last snow of this winter,

snowing can be nice but maybe at the appropriate timing?

Snow In March

Saturday out of sudden, the snow came down in March, not much of it but still quite bizarre. 

Then by noon, practically there was no more trace of snow on the road, but the temperature was lowered significantly.

Snow in March, was it related to the climate changes?

Snow Is For All Ages

Even though there was only a little bit of snow left on the ground, it was still fun to play with it.....

There is this magical effect of snow, it brings out the childishness, it is just so tempting not to step on it and rub our feet into it.....

Just A Bit Of Snow

Saturday night some snow flake was falling, perhaps it was a last minute thing to rush before the winter ended, it was quite sudden.....

Sunday morning, walking past piazza Castello, the snow was mainly cleaned up, except some strips left here and there.....

Snow Clearing

The snow clearing crews busy clearing the snow accumulated at the bus stop on via Pietro Micca.....

Actually, there was not that much snow to be cleared, but obviously for safety reason, to prevent slippery, the snow had to be gone ASAP.
