Little Blu Bells

 Surpried to find these little blu bells growing out under a huge tree at the La Marmora garden.

 

Someone must have planted them there....

First Flowers 2024

First batch of flowers have blossomed. These are the ones at the giardino La Marmora, the white magnolia denudata.

Of course they are not the very first to blossom in Turin but in this garden, they are the very first ones to welcome the arrival of Spring.

Giardino La Marmora is a small garden located along via Cernaia, it provides a little green space among the palazzi and the traffic.

It is always a joy to walk through the garden, looking at its towering trees and the flowers arrangement on the side of the road.

Spring After The Rain

Two days no rain, are the rainy days over or soon will be back?

Walking past the garden, saw a pond of water on the path, so, just snapped a quick one.

From the photo realised that someone had lost a pacifier and Spring is coming.....

The pond should be gone by now....

Lights Up The Trees

I think this is the first time, lights are placed in the La Marmora garden, just some simple tiny lights hanging up the trees, but nevertheless it does bring in the festival atmosphere and quite a joy to look at.

Another Day Of Snow

Just another 'one' day snow, just enough to sprinkle some snow on the ground....

Anyway, in giardino Lamarmora, the scenery is always lovely....

Snow In March

Saturday out of sudden, the snow came down in March, not much of it but still quite bizarre. 

Then by noon, practically there was no more trace of snow on the road, but the temperature was lowered significantly.

Snow in March, was it related to the climate changes?

CDP August Theme Bicycle

Bicycle is one of my favorite subject for photography, and in Torino there are plenty of them. However, for this theme day, I decided to choose a different approach.

This is an art piece displayed in the La Marmora garden, a man carry his girlfriend on a bicycle with their cat in the basket on the back.
Interesting is that the sculpture is a continuation of the previous one which was the same man sitting on the bench next to this sculpture. Now, the bench remains empty, with just a book and a hat on it.

The second bicycle shot is this window of a restaurant in via Conte Verde. A bicycle is placed above attached to the ceiling ( sort of ). Just hope that it is well secured.....

To Drink Or Not To Drink

Turin has many fountains, this is one of my favorite which is located at the entrance to the La Marmora garden. It has water flowing out from the mouth of a face into the stone basin.

These pigeons love to shower and drink from the fountain, at this moment however they seem to hesitate whether or not to drink from the fountain....

Someone was fast, just a day of snow, a snow man was already standing in La Marmora garden, a bit weird looking, but nevertheless, it was a snow man......

Book Video Cart

A very old cart permanently parked at La Marmora garden selling books and video dvd etc.

Was snowing the whole night and the whole morning, walking through La Marmora garden, the usual green meadowland were covered by snow.....
