Puddle of Summer

The weather was hot, and then came the heavy rain and hail, which broke tree branches, dented cars parked on the street, and of course there were puddles of water everywhere.

The rainy season is here again, and it looks like it may last until the end of the month.

Last night, the rain was particularly intense.

It’s been another week of rain, on and off, with no obvious signs of stopping completely. 

According to the weather forecast, the weather will be fine next week.

April Rain

It rains again, after a few days of clear, warm weather, here comes the rain again.

Currently temperature reads below 15 °C.

Out with the umbrellas and raincoats again.

Spring After The Rain

Two days no rain, are the rainy days over or soon will be back?

Walking past the garden, saw a pond of water on the path, so, just snapped a quick one.

From the photo realised that someone had lost a pacifier and Spring is coming.....

The pond should be gone by now....

A Pause From The Rain

Yesterday was a pause from the rain or the week long raining has finally stopped?

Anyway, I was wrong about the sky, we indeed got a blu sky, not completely clear, but definitely was very blue in most part of the day.

So, we had a walk and got these shots at the entrance to the park at the ancient roman gate, Porta Palatina.

Still Raining

 Still raining, Sunday was a non stop 24 hours rainy day.

It was not so convenient to get out to do photo shooting, so, here is an old photo from the previous rainy season.

I doubt that today we are going to have some blue sky....like this.

A Little Break From The Rain

Today the rain has stopped for a while, giving us a little break from getting wet when we are out.

 Of course, there are ponds of water here and there, which are perfect for making certain type of photo.

Rainly Season

Just when we thought winter is towards ending, the weather took a sudden turn and returned to wet and cold. 

On higher terrains, it snows and in Torino, it keeps raining and raining.

Rain Again On Friday

After a couple of hot days, the rain approached and fell hard.

It is nice to have the temperature lowered, but the retaurants and bars are not too happy, as they have mostly placed their serving tables outdoor, since due to the ristriction, the indoor tables are hugly reduced.

I am quite happy to be able to find some interesting reflection to shoot.

Raining Business

Whenever it is about to rain, the umbrellas sellers, mostly are the pakistanis, are already out on the streets with umbrellas in their hands, ready to do business.

Eeven when it is already raining heavily, they will still walking streets to streets, trying to sell the umbrellas.

Waiting Under Shelter

Rains, added difficulty for the food riders who have to rush to delivery the food.

The other day, while waiting under the arcade for the rains to stop, a rider stood under the arcade, looking anxiously and helplessly at heavy rain. Perhaps he was worrying if he could delivery the food in time.

Rainstorm

When the city just goes into the phase 2, more people are getting out to go around, the rainstorm begins.

Almost everyday, the first half of the day is clear and sunny, then out of a sudden, the dark clouds arrive and follow by rains and even hailstorm.

People then start to run for shelter, some bravehearts run across the street despite the heavy pour.

After The Rain

As usual after the rain, small pond of water remained along the curd by the road, couldn't resist to snap a photo of the reflection on the water while the two cyclists dashed across the road.

Lockdown The Forty-Ninth Day

49th day. Monday. Rainy day, 
The whole day was dim and gloomy, it was the kind of rain which kept coming down, not heavily, but kept going the whole day.

  
The rain might be able to clean up the air, but it surely has no effect on the Coronvirus.

Yesterday, the Prime Minister Conte had announced the starting and the restrictions of the 2nd phase of the lockdown. 
Quite a number of criticism and dissatisfactions have arisen. 

The pandemia in Italy is showing sign of slowing down, but the spreading is still high and people are still dying. It has no sense to reopen everything all at once, reopening has to be done in phases. 

Many people just too concentrate on their own problems and refuse to look at a bigger picture. They want the reopening to be soon and full, well, the virus might come back to attack soon and full too.

Perhaps, people should take the chance to get out onto the street, place themselves under the rain to clear their minds.

Lockdown The Forty-Third Day

The 43rd day. It was raining.
Woke up late and had to go to the pharmacy before noon to retreat some medicines.
Turin is a beautiful city, elegant and not exaggerated. Even under the shadow of the pandemia, just added a sense of quieteness to her beauty.

The rain was fine but more abundant than anticipated, the streets were wet.

Stepped out of the pharmacy, walked towards the cathedral, the old man who was begging under the wall had gone. The door to the cathedral was tightly closed.
The holy church was left alone saoking under the rain 

Walked towards the piazza Castello where there were the two palaces. There was nobody walking around the piazza, except occasionally someone rode on a bicycles crossing the piazza.
Both magnificent palaces were just standing there under the rain with no more queue of people waiting in turn to admire them.

The streets were wet, the palaces were wet and the churches were wet....

Rain For A Day

After 70 days without rain, finally yesterday was raining the whole day, not a heavy pouring, but just fine drizzling, but it does help to clean up the air and wash the streets.

And of course left pools of water  on the ground for making photography of reflection.

Flooded Torino

A week of rain, Torino is full of water gathered on the roads, the river is overflown, nothing unusual really, just same as last year.

Is Always Raining day

Since the beginning of Spring, in Torino it has been raining, it might stop for a day or two, and then starts to rain again the next day and the next day....

Looking out from the upper floor of Apple store in via Roma, some people are well prepared and have an umbrella with them, others are caught off guard and have to cross the street protecting them from the rain by other means...
