Rain Puddles

As usual, after a day or two of rain, puddles of water were left here and there. 

Fortunately. they normally dry up pretty fast.

Spring After The Rain

Two days no rain, are the rainy days over or soon will be back?

Walking past the garden, saw a pond of water on the path, so, just snapped a quick one.

From the photo realised that someone had lost a pacifier and Spring is coming.....

The pond should be gone by now....

A Pause From The Rain

Yesterday was a pause from the rain or the week long raining has finally stopped?

Anyway, I was wrong about the sky, we indeed got a blu sky, not completely clear, but definitely was very blue in most part of the day.

So, we had a walk and got these shots at the entrance to the park at the ancient roman gate, Porta Palatina.

A Little Break From The Rain

Today the rain has stopped for a while, giving us a little break from getting wet when we are out.

 Of course, there are ponds of water here and there, which are perfect for making certain type of photo.

These photos posted here are shots from last year, but the situation is more or less the same...

Heat Days

The last couple of days were hot, reaching 35°C at certain time of the day.

As per every year during the hot days, people rely on the fountains at piazza Castello to cool off themselves.

After The Rain

As usual after the rain, small pond of water remained along the curd by the road, couldn't resist to snap a photo of the reflection on the water while the two cyclists dashed across the road.

Rain For A Day

After 70 days without rain, finally yesterday was raining the whole day, not a heavy pouring, but just fine drizzling, but it does help to clean up the air and wash the streets.

And of course left pools of water  on the ground for making photography of reflection.

Reflection In Piazza

It was snowing just a while ago, but the snow didn't stay long on the ground, instead ponds of water were formed about everywhere. 

In piazza Castello, in this particular spot, water always gathered there, either by from the fountain or from the rain or snow. 
This guy was walking crossing the piazza when I was trying to take the reflection of the Royal Palace and he was sort of just stood there in my 'line of fire' and happily had his photo taken.

Reflection By The River

The melted snow formed lot of ponds of water everywhere, as a passionate reflection photo maker, it was a good opportunity for me to search out for these ponds to try to create some satisfying images.

This image was made on the muddy road along the river, the sun was pretty low, the pond was large enough and I had Max as a model standing in the center of the composition.

Flooded Torino

A week of rain, Torino is full of water gathered on the roads, the river is overflown, nothing unusual really, just same as last year.

Reflection Of People At Piazza Castello

The same pond of water reflecting images of people crossing the piazza, adding colors to the piazza....

Quench For Thirst

Hot, hot, hot, with the temperature reaching up to 35 °C, walking around the town can be dehydrating, fortunately there are quite a number of fountains all over the town and the water is highly drinkable.

A long queue in front of the fountain at piazza Vittorio for the fresh, cooling water comes from the Alps.

Reflection In Pond Of Rain Water

Raining everyday, when it stopped, ponds of water were left all over the town, creating upside down mirror images of the town here and there.

At Cavallerizza Reale, a reflection of the opposite building with thye tip of La Mole on a pond of water.

Raining Season

After a few days of clear sky and sun shines, the rain is back.....

Pouring water down on the streets of Turin, creating ponds all over the town. 

With an occasion like that, it might be fun to take some reflection shots.

CDP April Theme : One Color

There is a phrase in chinse : 海天一色 meaning the sea and the sky are of one color, to describe the sky and the sea sharing the same colors as though they have merged into each other.

Reflection Of The Fountain

The extended pool of water from the fountain at piazza Castello provided a great ispiration for making photo, with the royal palace as the backdrop, the reflection is pretty amazing. 

The passing of the people in front of the lens makes it even more interesting.

Fountain Of Youth

In hot summer, the fountains at piazza Castello become chilling points for the kids, playing under the water of the fountains is definitely a fun and cool activity.

Reflection Of The Arches

First week of summer was a bit bizzare, sudden storm would came after a hot sweaty day, and the temperature would dropped by 5 - 10 degree. After that,  small, little pond of rain water were left all over the places, even under the protective arcades.
However, the leftover ponds of water provide a great reflection to the various arcades in the center of the town.

Over And Under The Bridge

Under the bridge, the water of Po is busy rushing through, over the bridge the cars and people are busy rushing over. What a busy world we live in......
