View From Below

Back to piazzale Aldo Moro which is now an university compound with restaurants and shops.

Finally was able to get down to the level where the piece of seventeenth century wall is, surprised to see that this level has converted into sort of a hub for the university students to study.

It was pure coincidental that we passed by and was wondering if the gate to descend was opened, and someone just walked up and told us that the gate opens every working day till 8 P.M. So, we were delighted to finally able to go down below.

The most interesting aspect of this level is of course the 'big opening' where one can look up and view directly to the landmark, La Mole.

Peek

This is via Maria Vittorio, just a rather ordinary street in the center of Turin.

A big board was placed on the building of the Egyptian Museum to cover up the on going renovation work. On the board was a face peeking onto the street.

Fog Coming

Fog comes, fog goes. Few days ago, the center of Turin was invaded by dense fog, next day, the fog had already cleared up.

By the way, the fog covered Turin has a certain mysterious beauty.

Two Queues

By now, this is rather normal to see two queues at the piazza in front of the cathedral.

One queue is the one at the entrance of the cathedral where vistors queuing up to see the Monumental Nativity Scene of Basilicata in the cathedral; the other one is in front of the tent outside the pharmacy, with people queuing up to receive swab for Covid 19.

Lights Up The Palace

Every evening, a video mapping inspired by the symbols of Christmas will illuminate the facade of the Palazzo Reale during the season festival, attracting people to gather in front of the palace to admire the exhibition.
