Fine Snow

There haven’t been any real snow days this winter, there was one very fine snowfall last November.

It was actually a mix of rain and snow, visible on site but difficult to capture properly in photos.

Anyway, I tried to take a few photos while walking through the narrow streets of Mercanti.

Full Moon Over The Po

Just happened to see a really low full moon slowly appeared ( seemed ) behind the Gran Madre Church over the other side of the river Po. By the time I walked further up, the moon appeared to be higher and further away from the church.
Was wondering whether to snap a few photos, but too lazy to set up the tripod again...so I rested the camera on the low wall above Murazzi where the actual river bank is and snapped 3, 4 photos using timer.

This is the result after merging the photos with photoshop.

Us Without You

This christmas decoration installment is named 'Us' and it is a fixed feature every year in the center of Turin. Somehow, one of the couple decided to breakup before the new year, leaving the other one dangling there all by himself....

Tiny Tiny Snow

Sort of the very first snow of 2019 in Turin city, the snowing was very fine and tiny and as usual it never stayed long on the street.

However, it was still nice and almost magical walking on the street under the falling snow, watching the snow through the street lights.

Castle By Night

The front side of the castle in piazza castello is all white and bright, beautifully decorated and well polished, the back is another story. It is darker, rugged, all tiles and bricks, but it has a different kind of charm,  it has been polished by the hand of time....

Via Palazzo Di Citta By Night

Via Palazzo di Città connects piazza Castello to the town hall, along this short street are some interesting buildings and shops. At night the light from the two buildings by the side illuminate the street and creates a rather spectacular view.

Snow Clearing

The snow clearing crews busy clearing the snow accumulated at the bus stop on via Pietro Micca.....

Actually, there was not that much snow to be cleared, but obviously for safety reason, to prevent slippery, the snow had to be gone ASAP.
