Lockdown Fifty-Third Day

53rd day. Friday, Labour day. First time in Italy that there were no celebration, no march on Labour day. Instead, the town was pretty quiet and deserted.
The weather was overcast, heavy clouds were covering the sky for most of the day, so people were not so much encouraged to go out and also we are still in a lockdown.

During these more than 50 days of confinement, perhaps I had gone out once every week, each time I was out, I noticed that there were still some  homeless hanging around.
Usually, they were alone in the piazza, or on the bench by the street or even in the garden.
Saw one sitting alone on a bench in the center of via Lagrange, trying to get some alms, unfortunately the street was pretty empty.
One was sitting alone on the bench in piazza Carignano, he seemed to be rather relax and enjoying the sun and the peace with almost no one else around.
The last one I saw was at the small garden beside piazza IV Maggio. He was lying on the foot of the statue in the garden, maybe enjoying the warmth from the sun. By the way, he was breaking the restrictions of the lockdown by entering into the garden, there was tape fencing the garden's entrance.

There were some who used to be around in some fixed location, but they seem to have disappeared.

Lets hope they are being taken care of, at least protected from the virus in one way or the other.

Location : via Lagrange/Piazza Carignano/Piazza IV Maggio
