Took a walk to the valentino park and was delighted to see inhabited so many swallows in the village and medieval fortress of Turin, obviously this reproduction of a typical late medieval village is very suitable for them to live in.

Finally the long awaited storm came yesterday evening, suddenly seemed like ligthnings were all around Turin, dark clouds gathered, then it started raining dogs and cats. Before midnight, it all stopped, but at least the sultriness is temporary gone.

Palazzo Scaglia di Verrua
The Palazzo Scaglia di Verrua is a historical building in Turin, at via Stampatori, just a few steps from via Garibaldi. Of great documentary value, is one of the few examples of sixteenth-century building that had not been affected by changes of the Baroque period, but able to keep its original Renaissance appearance.
The external facade is unique in its kind in the city, has a theme of frescoes by Antonio Parentani, dated 1603.
It is a splendid building with geat value.

Stop up to the tower
Is so hot these few days, so every evening, we take a walk around, getting some fresh air, if there is and looking at the night scene of Turin.
This originally red brick tower caught my eyes, but I decided to shoot it in black and white and leave the road signs in colors, just for fun.

Sauces for Boiled Meats
'Bollito' is a typical piedment dish, eat with various sauces. Went to a restaurant for this particular dish and the bollito they served were tongue, breast, salame, musetto and scaramella, served with 5 different sauces, the 'bagna verde' (green sauce), the rafano (horseradish), the senape (mustard), the 'Rubra' (red sauce) and the 'cotognata' (quince). It was a reduced version of the traditional dish, but there were already plenty enough to be eaten.

The lake in piazza d'armi is a great place to hang around whether in spring, summer or autumn, not so much in winter, but the park is still pretty amazing if it is covered by snow....

View Points
The sculpture "View points" by Tony Cragg, placed in front of the Palaisozaki and the Olympic Stadium, in the pedestrian area of Piazza d'Armi.
"View points" is a work made in 2005, placed in the following year in front of the new Olympic Stadium for the Olympic Games in Turin.
It consists of three elliptical columns of bronze, height between 10 and 12 meters, centrifuges decomposed horizontally into sections, whose shape allows the viewer to glimpse a silhouette partly composed of profiles of human faces. The two axes of the ellipses, placed at 90 ° from each other, allowing each column to be looked at, as reflected in the title, by two different "views".
The three ellipses are thus transformed into something dynamic which is screwed to the top. The surface of the columns also plays with the idea of the point of view: by walking around, bends and cuts reveal, little by little, new profiles of faces.

Buildings along the river Dora
There are two main rivers in Turin, the river Po and the river Dora.
The Dora Riparia river, a left-hand tributary of the Po. It is 125 km (78 mi) long, with a 1,231 km² drainage basin. It originates in the Cottian Alps, close to the Col de Montgenèvre in France, where it is called the Piccola Dora. Its name becomes the Dora Riparia after the confluence with the Ripa in the Argentera Valley and the Thuras de Bousson close to Cesana.
Somehow, the scenery along the river Dora is less spectacular than the Po.
