Narrow Lane Walk

This is a old, narrow street connecting via Bertola and via Garibardi. The right side is fenced up due to contruction work which was inactive for many years and it seems that the work has finally begun again.

It is yet to see when the work will finally be completed. Then, perhaps the street will look different.

Narrow Street's Story

It is just one of the many narrow streets in Turin, pebble pavement, old high stone walls, and seems to have lots of story.

It is via Botero, there are a few nice restorants along the street, a church at the end, a sort of pawn shop runs by a bank where usually attracts a long queue of people trying to pawn their valuables.

I think there are also some illegal loaning activities happening there, since the bank's pawn shop service doesn't accept every kind of 'valuable', so the loaners outside will come into play.

Legs Out

This was taken at the initial of the pandemia in Italy, when the complete lockdown had yet to be started, but already certain restrictions such as forbidden of crowds had been implemented.

However, when passing through via Garibaldi, a pair of legs protruded outward at vai Botero caught my attention, looked funny.


Then, noticed further down the street, there was a long queue of people crowded together. Later found out that they were queuing up for the Monte dei Pegni, which provides pawn/loans service.

Via Botero, one of those narrow, cobblerstone pavement streets, occasionally one can find here a hidden treasure, such as a fine restaurant or a small affascinating shop selling exquisite item.
