Palazzo Birago di Borgaro is a stately residence in Turin, located in Via
Carlo Alberto 16, at Piazza Carlo Alberto, in the historic center of the
city.Today it houses the Chamber of Commerce of Turin.
The
building follows the fortunes of the rich and noble lineage of Birago
Borgaro, and is built at the behest of its most important
representative, Count Renato Augusto Birago Borgaro. After
distinguishing himself in military career, winning the title of
Generalissimo of the Kingdom under Vittorio Amedeo II of Savoy, June 13,
1716 these did lay the foundation stone of his palace in what is now
Via Carlo Alberto, and at the time, was the Contrada of the Angels: the wealth accumulated over the years allowed Renato
Augusto to commission the work to Filippo Juvarra, who was then already an famous architect , in Piedmont, and this choice made his palace one of the
greatest examples of Turin.Renato
Augusto made this Juvarrian residence one of the best salons in the city,
given the importance that he was acquiring at court: after becoming a
knight of honor of queens Anne Marie d'Orléans and Polyxena
Christina of Hesse-Rotenburg, he obtained the title of educator of the heirs to the throne. When
the palace was transferred to the house of the Della Valle, in 1858, it still
held for years its role as an important noble house: the new
owners furnished its interiors with neo-Rococo style, with a
touch of nineteenth-century eclecticism. What remained unchanged was the Juvarrian facility.

Morning Light On Via Bertola
The morning light shined through the clouds onto via Bertola, a rather heavy traffic street which normally one doesn't pay much attention except to the traffic. This particular morning I was passing by early in the morning when the traffic was not yet busy, the morning sunlight shone onto the ground wetted by the rain of last night and transformed the street into a quite a magical view....

When the days were hazy, in the morning Torino was immersed in a layer of mist, till the afternoon, the view got a bit clearer, but way up towards the sky , it was dark and still pretty foggy.

Not Really BW Photo CDP March Theme
Is CDP theme day again and March theme is "Black and White in Color".
I have chosen these photo that I have taken last year of a mural with pretty interesting messages.
It is painted in black and white with theme seems to be a modernised Dante's inferno....
The last photo I have included a tiny piece of color....which I think was added onto the mural by someone else.
