Sometimes, the policemen bought their horses to have a walk in the town center and of course it would attract lots of attention.
A brave little girl went forward to greet the big guys....

The Gran Madre Church is located at the other side across the bridge at the end of via Po, it is quite a prominent structure with it's huge stairs leading up to the magnificent entrance to main building of the church. The stairs were even once used as a set for the movie ' The Italian Job' back in 1969.
Surprisely, the interior of the church is rather small and simple, compared to other churches in the city.

First time visited the cathedrale San Giovanni which is also the Duomo of Turin after quite a long time, it seems that it has caught up with modern technology, realised that there are machines which visitors can actually give their offerings by card, atm card, credit card....
Honestly, the machines look out of place in the cathedrale....

The huge Christmas tree at piazza San Carlo has already been taken down. These photos were taken last week during a short walk around the piazza well before the 2200 hours curfew.

The 5 stars Hotel Principi Di Piemonte decorated its front with huge tricolors lights. I suppose the center one should be white to represent the Italian flag, maybe due to the color of the wall, it turns out to be violet.
Anyway, the colored front is pretty impressive to look at.

The rain, the cold and the Covid have discouraged me from going out for some photo shoot, or just that I am getting lazy.
Anyway, got a new len as Christmas gift finally did push me to get out and shoot something.
Here are some photos made in front of the shopping center, Rinascente with its huge lighted front displaying wishes for the New Year.
Let's hope 2021 is a better year than 2020.
