Confusing Weather

This pretty much sums up the weather in Turin these days.

The sun was shining brightly on one end of Piazza San Carlo, but at the other end, huge clouds were rushing in which then brought in the rain.

Lingering Cloud

After two days of rain and cold air, finally the sun is out again.

However, huge piece of cloud is still lingering in the sky, threatening to be back soon.

Mountains Afar

Via Garibaldi is one of the longest pedestrian walk in Europe. 

In a clear pleasant day, walking along via Garibaldi can be very delightful, especially with the mountains afar vividly visible.

The cool air from the yesterday cold breeze mingling in the air with the warmth of the late morning sun. 

We had a surprisingly satisfying walk.

Is Sunny Day

Getting hot in Turin, the air is dry and hot, and got me sick for a couple of days.....
The good side of having sunny days is that on the street everything looks brighter and the views are clearer, and at this time of the year, the colors are richer....

Candid Shots Across The Street

Most of the time, I bring my camera along whenever I go out, just in case something interesting might catch my eyes.
Across the street where I live is church San Tommaso, when there is a mass or any event, people will be going in and out, sometimes, in a good light, the images presented are just irresistible not to be photographed.

A couple just came out of the church and was standing there deciding what to do.....

Long Shadows

Whenever there is a sunny day with clear sky, at the right time, the sun will cast out long shadows from people walking around the piazza, it is really quite delightful to see. To me, somehow the shadows seem to be more animated than their owner......

Meeting Up In Winter Sunny Day

The piazza is a great place to meet up with friends, the point at piazza Castello leading to via Garibaldi is particularly a hot spot for meeting up, especially on a pleasant, sunny day.

Finally a nice and sunny day after days of rain, people were gathering at the piazza, taking photo, meeting up with friends or just sat on the benches along the gate to the royal palace, looking at people. 

And a good day to get hitched too....

This is for the April Theme Day, Pedestrians crossing. Being a city with rather heavy traffic, Turin does have many Pedestrian Crossing, although quite often people don't really use them in a proper and careful way.....
