Via Franco Bonelli Both Ways

Via Franco Bonelli is one of the many long and intertwining narrow streets near the market area in the Roman Quarter. 

When the morning sun shines through the narrow streets, it creates a rather fascinating image of lights and shadows.

Grande Cardinale Seduto

The 'Grande Cardinale Seduto', a sculpture by Giacomo Manzù, the Italian sculptor.

 The sculpture is placed beside the Turin Cathedral, along the path leading to piazza Castello.



How nice would it be if all Cardinale are all so gentle, simple and peaceful like this sculpture....

Subalpina Gallery

The Subalpina Gallery is a historic building in Turin, which hosts numerous business premises. It is located between Piazza Castello and Piazza Carlo Alberto and is one of three historic shopping arcades of Turin.

The structure is a typical nineteenth-century model of urban commercial area inspired by the typical Parisian passages and created to entertain bourgeois; it was the third mall in Turin.

Show Off Vehicle

This guy was showing off his very cool vehicle at via Carlo Alberto....

With all those luggage bags and flags attached, perhaps he was going on a long trip, maybe traveling around Europe, which is very cool....
The vehicle is beautiful and looks sophisticated, except that it makes too much noise when it starts running and that's not cool at all.

Candle lights Walk Of The Liberation Day's Eve

25th of April, Italy's Liberation Day, also known as the Anniversary of the Liberation, Anniversary of the Resistance, or simply April 25 is a national Italian holiday commemorating the end of the second world war and the end of Nazi occupation of the country.

On the 24th evening, a parade for the celebration passed along via Pietro Micca, just under my block.

Nothing fancy, just a solemn, sincere walk with candle lights for this memorable day.

There was also the presence of policemen, of course.

Different Style

Along via Cernaia, the blocky, metallic Rai Building in contrast with the decorated, exquisite building beside it.

Three ways

A handsome building, proudly standing in the center of the three streets, via Pietro Micca, via Bertola and Via San Francesco d'Assisi.....

Paint Me Black

An artist doing body painting on a guy at piazza Carignano on a Satuarday afternoon....

Piazza Arbarello

Piazza Arbarello, newly cleaned up and transformed, the car park was moved underground and  benches were placed around the piazza.....

Man On The Roof

Not sure why there is this statue on top of this building at via Pietro Palmieri, it seems rather peculiar....

Outing On Saturday

Went over to Castelnuovo Don Bosco in the province of Asti, looking around the area and bought some wines. The day was fine, the ice cream and the wines were great.....

Mole Reflection On The University

It was the first time I saw the reflection of La Mole on the glass windows of the Palazzo Nuovo (The University ), maybe because they had just cleaned up the glass panel of the windows.......

Parasols

Even though it is spring, during day times, the sun can be really bright and hot enough for the people up on the highest floor of this building to put up their parasols on the terrace.

Violinist In A Restaurant

I think it was an opening of a new restaurant at Piazza Corpus Domini, a violinist was playing in front of the big windows entertaining both people eating inside and those passing by outside.

More Spring Flowers

Full branches of pink, white flowers hanging up on the tree, under the sun, they are almost translucent,  delightful and beautiful to look at....

At The End Of Via Principe Amedeo

Via Principe Amedeo is one of the alternate street we take when we want to avoid the crowd in via Po, it is parallel to via Po, one end it leads to via Roma and another end reaches piazza Vittorio.

Is intriguing to live above the two arches, everyday seeing traffic passes under the apartments.

White Blossom

At the opposite bank of the river Po, this tree full of white blossoms really stand out.....

Spring Flowers : Pink

Some pink blossoms indicating the arrival of Spring.....

 

Sposi In Attesa

Bride and groom in waiting, she sat on the stone 'stood' at the corner of Vittorio bridge in piazza Vittorio and he stood beside her, chatting to each other casually.......

 

Triangles - Restaurant

For the City Daily Photo April theme day, Triangles.

This rather new eating place in via Langrange has huge triangular glass panels all over it, so the people walking along the street can admire the people eating inside the restaurant....
