Via Cernaia, the street which leads to the train station Porta Susa and beyond.....
A busy street, heavy traffic most of the time, and it goes from Porta Susa up to via Pietro Micca.

On a good day, the Alps is visible behind the old structure of the train station.

My City Skyline

The skyline view was taken from the tower of palazzo Madama at piazza Castello, my very first time visited the place and it was wonderful.....

Beisde the beautiful and rich collection it kept and displayed, up at the tower it provides a spectacular view of the center of the city. This is the view along via Po, towards the Gran Madre church across the Emmanuele Vittorio bridge.

This view is from the top of La Mole, which allow visitors to overlook the city around La Mole and the Alps....on a good weather day, it is just breathtaking.

View From the Mole

First time went up to the Mole to have a 360° view of Torino from above.

 
The view was spectacular, although it was a bit foggy but the Alps are still well visible.

For the price of 7 euro, at least for the first time, I would say it was well worth. The hot-air balloon ' Torino Eye' floating in mid air just enhanced the view.

February Theme Day - What would you miss?

What would I miss if I have to leave Torino ?

First of all, the friends, the people close to me.....

Then, the river Po, so many pleasant walk alone the banks, beautiful view in every season....

The view of the snowy alps.....

The narrow streets, the long arcades, the gorgeous historical buildings....the morning espresso.......

Fly Over The Alps

On the way back from China after 20 days of vacation.
It was magical seeing the Alps under the eyes while the flight was crossing over the border between Switzerland and Italy.

Sky View Over The Bridge

The view over the river Po looked from the bridge Sassi was splendid, especially on a clear blue sky morning, the alps at the far distance was so visible, they seemed so close. The only problem is that I had to wake up early and walk all the way to the river and along Lungo Po Antonelli.....

Under The Foot Of The Mountains

The name Piedmont comes from medieval Latin Pedemontium or Pedemontis, i.e., ad pedem montium, meaning “at the foot of the mountains”. Torino being the capital of Piedmont, is obviously situated under the foot of the mountains, surrounded by the western Alpine arch.
In a clear day, the alps can be seen from the city center, pretty impressive view.
