By laws, cycling or travelling on any form of PMD ( Personal Mobility Device ) are not all allowed under the arcade.
However, nobody seems to care about the laws, everyday while we walk under the arcade, always have to be careful not to be knocked down by speeding bicycles or PMD.
Just the other night, while walking under the arcade, there were also a group of middle age women walking towards our direction. Two boys were riding on the sharing PMD coming from behind us, which by laws the PMD is not allowed to carry more than one person. They honked us to give way while they were having fun speeding, regardless of the safety of the other people.
We voiced our concern about they were actually breaking the laws, in return they gave us the middle finger.
Further up along the arcade, they were then stopped by a local police who was there checking on a car by the road side. The boys got down from their PMD, got questioned, but instead of getting registered for their offence, they were let go with just a verbal warning.
So they walked away, pushing their PMD along. Next, just after a few distance, they got up the PMD again together and rode off happily, speeding again.
So, what is the deal of the policeman? Was he not doing his job?

What to do by the river side in winter?
Take a walk, jogging along the river bank, feeding the forever hungry gulls and riding a bicycle....
Along the river Po, the trail is covered full of fallen leaves, regardless the cold, still many cyclists and runners doing their outdoor hobby along this trail.
Met this cyclist while taking a walk back to the town center.
Cyclists cycling under the arcades is sometimes rather annoying, especially when some inconsiderate and selfish cyclists think that they have all the right to honk at people to give way to them. The fact is, they have no right to use the path under the arcades, as stated by the laws, but since we are in Italy, nobody really cares about the laws until something happened.....
So, windows shopping or having a peaceful walk under various arcades in Torino can sometimes be rather stressful due to some inconsiderate cyclists.
Along the river Po, at the opposite side of Murazzi, there is a trail which people can run or cycle all the way to the next town, San Mauro and beyond. On a good weather day, it is an entertaining and very satisfying way to explore the river side....
Wanted to try to do some panning, got myself standing by the road side of Lungo Po Amando Diaz, facing across the river, pointing my camera to the ongoing traffic, with the not so ideal light condition, found it rather difficult to capture any satisfying shot.....Well, perhaps can try later when spring steps in....
Cycling
Naked Bikers traveled from Parco Valentino, Imbarchino to the center of Torino in their minimum costumes....Unfortunately I couldn't catch up with them to capture their journey in the center which would be more interesting and meaningful.
The weather was hot!
And it got hotter....
