Under the arcade at the entrance to the Royal Theater, the heavy, complicated designed metal gate of the entrance makes a sharp contrast with the simplicity of the curved ceiling of the arcade.
It is also one of the peaceful walk away from the ever busy, crowded via Po.

Statue Of General Carlo Di Robilante
This is the statue of general Carlo Di Robilante at piazza Cavour.
Carlo Felice Nicolis di Robilant Count, known simply as Earl of Robilant or Robilant (Turin, August 8, 1826 - London, 17 October 1888) was a diplomat, general and Italian politician.
He was ambassador in Vienna from 1871 to 1885; period in which proved decisive for the conclusion of the triple alliance between Italy, Germany and Austria.
From 1885 to 1887 he was Minister of Foreign Affairs and as such contributed in 1887 to renew the Triple Alliance, obtaining the commitment of Germany to support Italy in a possible war in the Mediterranean. On the same occasion it obtained the commitment from Austria to Italy to recognize territorial compensation in the event of Austrian expansion in the Balkans.
The same year concluded with Great Britain, Austria and Spain, the specific arrangements for the protection of Italian interests in the Mediterranean, completing an intensive political and diplomatic work that protects probably Italy from any threat.

La Cavallerizza Reale
La Cavallerizza Reale is
a large complex built between the seventeenth and nineteenth centuries
as a military headquarters of the Academy: a complex that is protected
by a bond, and that is part of the system of the Savoy royal residences
UNESCO World Heritage Site. Transferred
from the State to the City of Turin, the Riding has become part of the
Teatro Stabile, and in 2001 it is open to the city as a place of
entertainment, with great success. But
following the savage cuts in local authority budgets, the municipal
authority has decided not to reap the benefits (social, but also
economic) of its investment, and decided to sell the complex: in 2009 it
was entrusted to the Securitization city
of Turin Ltd., and in 2013 the representations and visits of private
speculators have started that they would like to purchase the monument
(a price about 12 million euro).

The Man In The Galleria
Galleria San Federico, an elegant galleria has went through some changes, mainly a change of shops moving out and some new one moved in. The obvious one was the opening of a commercial center with a rather small entrance, which I found easily missed out if one is not looking carefully.
And there is also the Ipercoop food market, high end bride gowns fashion shop....
And this elegant man who insisted to stand in front of my camera.....

Cloudy Over the Po
Early Spring, the weather is indecisive, while one day it is all sunny and clear, the next day huge black clouds would cover up the whole sky ( Or partially ).
The Vittorio Emanuele I bridge leading to the Gran Madre church under the heavy clouds....
The other side, the river Po flowing under the cloudy sky...

CDP May Theme : Smell
At piazza Solferino, a special event was held there, a series of stalls promoting France products.
There was one particularly 'good smelling' stall which was selling soaps, beautiful, colorful and very fragrant soaps.
Obviously to choose the soaps, people started picking them up and smell them....
Everyone likes a nice smell.....
Some of the soaps they sell....
Please click here to view the other entries....
