A rather unique look presented at the Free K Pride, he was standing at a corner looking before decided to join in the parade.
He was pleased that we took his photo as we waved to each other after the shot.

There are many bare-chested guys with low hanging pants at the K Pride manifestation, totally demostrating their free, easy and unconstrained attitude.

Not quite sure what was it about, the K Pride.
Looked through the site : https://gancio.cisti.org/event/1486, it explained:
'WHY FREE-K PRIDE?
We claim the carnival, the bad taste, the provocation, the inconvenience. After more than a year of pandemic we can say that no, we have not come out better: on the contrary we are witnessing a resurgence of sexist and homolesbobitransphobic violence that punishes those who try to self-determine by breaking free from the cis-hetero-patriarchal regime. If you think this is a rhetorical and ideological discourse, Free-k Pride comes out of its fangs for you too and shouts in the street that we don't want to get used to living in a country where a woman is killed every three days, often by a man who has House keys. That we don't want to get used to living in a city where a 'rainbow bag' is an excuse to be brutally beaten on the street; where a teenager throws himself under a train and even after death he is sent threatening messages referring to his sexuality.'
I was passing by the piazza unintentionally, unawared that there was a manifestation going on.
It was the next day after I had my 2nd dose of vaccine and I was not feeling so well, actually I was feeling a bit cold in the house, so I decieded to go for a walk under the hot sun to warm up a bit.
Then, I saw the policemen along the street, and then I saw all these colorful people in the piazza. So, I started snapping photo and ended up joining the parade.
It was colorful, wonderful and full of fun.

Finally, we made it up to the bell tower of the Cathedral, San Giovanni Church.
Panorama View from the top of the Bell Tower
It was not because of the 200 plus steps that we had to climb, but just couldn't find the right time to pay a visit and also it opens only from Friday to Monday, and also it was closed due to the Covid.
Inside the top of the Bell Tower
The bell tower was built between 1468 and 1469 by the bishop Giovanni de Compey. In the lower part it has frames without arches, in the first order there are single-lancet windows with pointed arches, decorated with terracotta tile.
View of The Cupola of the Cathedral, the Cupola of Chapel of the Holy Shroud and The Mole Antonelliana at the far end.
Recently restored, the bell tower is part of the tour of the Diocesan Museum. The bell tower was built in the second half of the fifteenth century by the will of the bishop Giovanni di Compey to accompany the bishop's complex then existing.
View of Turin's center from the top of the Bell Tower
Between 1720 and 1722 the court architect Filippo Juvarra worked on the crowning and the dome, but the works were interrupted before the latter was built. The tower thus took on its present appearance: a brick construction that ends with a baroque belfry in stucco and stone.
View of the Bell Tower beside the Cathedral
Thanks to the underground gallery that connects the Tower to the Lower Church of the Duomo, it is possible to access it and reach the belfry, over 43 meters high. From the top it is possible to admire an exceptional panorama: the city of Turin seen from above, surrounded by the Alps.

The World Press Photo exhibition 2021 is again at Palazzo Madama from the 7th of may till the 22nd of August, but due to the restriction for Covid 19, we waited till June when the restriction was relaxed to visit the exhibition.
Some of the more famous photos have been shown online many times, but seeing them at the exhibition the emotional impact is bigger and more impressive.
Not surprising, Covid 19 has an obvious position in the theme of various photos.

This is one of the mural art displayed in Turin, and is right in front of the parking place of Nuvola Lavazza where I had my anti-Covid vaccine.
The photo was taken on the day I had my first dose and was feeling ok enough to hang around to make some shots.
It is in Via Parma, titled Lotta contro il cambiamento climatico ( Fight against climate change ) by artist Mantra
The work was done on a blind but protected facade and even the windows or curtains of the latter are the same color as the mural. The subject is a set of butterflies: all dead (symbolizing environmental degradation due to climate change) except the blue one (the hope of humanity)! Hence the title of Mantra's work.

The Flor Primavera is back after the government decided it is safe to hold such event along the street.
Turin is again transformed into a big garden with stands displaying plants, flowers and anything related to gardening and even those not directly related, such as bags, hats and umbrellas.
There were fewer stands than the previous years, partly due to the safe distancing and also many spaces were occupied by tables of restaurants and bars for outdoor dining.
Nevertheless, it was still a joy to see such beautiful display of colorful flowers and plants.

Found this set of surgery tools in the house, kept in a leather case, they should be of the end of 1800.
Wonder how many patients they had operated on and now, they are just placed on a shelf for display.
